Fall 2022 Virtual Conference Series

The Delaware Speech-Language Hearing Association is hosting its first Virtual Conference Series (register at https://dsha.org/dsha-events-fall-2022-virtual-conference-series/) which will be focused on the topic of Developmental Language Disorder. This series will include ten hours of continuing education content over five consecutive weeks leading up to International DLD Awareness Day (October 14, 2022). The speakers, topics, and dates will be as follows:

Wednesday, September 14th: Elizabeth Lucas – Empowering the SLP and Raising Awareness for DLD and Karla McGregor – Developmental Language Disorder as a Neurodevelopmental Disability
Thursday, September 22nd: Dr. Hope Sparks Lancaster – Double Trouble: Differences and Similarities between Developmental Language Disorder and Dyslexia
Thursday, September 29th: Dr. Amanda Van Horne and Samantha Weatherford – Curriculum-Based Interventions for Children with DLD
Thursday, October 6th: Dr. Raúl Rojas – Bilingual Considerations for DLD
Thursday, October 13th: Dr. Suzanne Adlof – Language Screening to Improve the Identification of Developmental Language Disorder and Promote Academic Achievement for All Students
